Family events.

Family/all age worship

This is arguably the most important of our events arranged for families and  normally  takes place on the fourth Sunday of the month (see current plan for details). We aim to incorporate a contribution from any of  our congregation, of whatever age, who wish to take part. Thus, these services often include drama sketches, poetry reading, a simple craft activity, story telling etc, all carefully chosen to illuminate a relevant theme. Music is selected  from "Complete Mission Praise". The theme is  chosen by a church team and led by selected local preachers.

Programme of Events

Pancake party  This is held in our church hall near to Shrove Tuesday. We play games and enjoy freshly cooked pancakes. A popular event during the dark nights.

Easter craft workshops are an annual event jointly arranged with St Matthews Anglican church, and held on Good Friday morning. This is a major event on our annual programme, and often attracts 50 or more children. Tables are set out around the hall with the material for a supervised Easter activity on each. Participants go from table to table making things, which they then take home. A scratch drama group also puts together a sketch for the worship that follows. This short children's service in the church is based on the Easter message. A photo gallery of the 2008 workshops can be seen here.

Summer barbeque. This is normally held on the Friday of our Sunday school anniversary weekend. Again a wide range of ages are represented. A few of the granddads even join  in the games on the lawn!

Beetle drive. We were hugely surprised by the response the first time we ran this event. The age range ran from around 5 to around 90, and a good time was had by all. Even more surprising it has maintained its popularity! It is now a regular on our calendar, and is held in  November prior to the Christmas crush of events

Christmas. Our carol service is always followed by a small short party, which is a regular on Santa's visiting list. A party/barn dance/social is often held in the run up to Christmas.

Church socials, barn dances, etc are arranged at points through out the year.
