Hayfield is situated in the centre of England on the edge of the Peak District National Park on the A624 between Buxton and Glossop. The church is about 100 yards from the junction with the A6015 to New Mills. Our postal address is: New Mills Road, Hayfield, High Peak, Derbyshire, UK  SK22 2EX

There are good train and bus links to Manchester and Sheffield, which are our nearest cities, and about 18 and 35 miles away respectively. Hayfield is an important tourist centre, particularly at week-ends and bank holidays, when we welcome large numbers of people to share our enjoyment of the surrounding landscape. Two miles away is the Kinder massif - a small mountain - which must always be treated with respect especially in bad weather.

Like most Peakland villages there are a number of traditional customs and events. The most popular of these being the Mayqueen Festival, the Well Dressing and the Sheepdog Trials, which draw visitors from many miles around. Details of local events and attractions can be obtained from the Information Centre near the bus station, or on either the official Hayfield web site.
